Barbara Gelberd, MSW, MPM, FACHE
Barbara Gelberd is a proven leader skilled in developing employee strengths and driving results to the bottom line. Applying her own unique approach, honed from 30+ years of experience across multiple industry sectors, Ms. Gelberd helps organizations run more effectively and profitably while simultaneously engaging employees across perceived chasms. Her diverse professional experience spans business and organizational development, operations, technology solutions, and process improvement . Her healthcare experiences includes Provider, Payer and Disease Management sectors, non-profit/advocacy and retail/service. Ms. Gelberd has first-hand knowledge about the demands to meet the bottom line with BRIDGEBUILDERS and Logan Raye Salon as President and COO respectively.
As an independent business consultancy, BRIDGEBUILDERS, LLC works with clients to improve organizational effectiveness by focusing on shared goals and positively utilizing variations in personalities and thinking styles as a catalyst to achieve successful change initiatives. Her clients include both for profit and not for profit entities and her emphasis is on sound business processes in all settings. Gelberd is also a qualified diversity training facilitator through Pope & Associates, Inc.
Prior to founding BRIDGEBUILDERS, LLC Ms. Gelberd led Pfizer Health Solutions as Director, Operations and Organizational Development, led Midwest Regional Sales for PHS and was a consultant with Stuart Disease Management Services and Service Center Director for Intracorp, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cigna Medical Management. She has also served as a Hospital CEO and Regional Vice President for Mental Health Management, Inc.
Ms. Gelberd began her career as a clinical social worker at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. And, she pioneered in creating a staff model behavioral health delivery system for Health America/Maxicare. Her credentials include a Master in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ms. Gelberd received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University.
